Cold Ankles

13 Jan 2010

I’m quickly starting to understand why people who live in cold countries aren’t as excited about snow as I once was.  We woke up this morning to a good thick couple of inches on the ground and I am blogging instead of getting changed for work and leaving the house. Usually London shuts down after a snowfall but it seems like the council is getting its shit together and trains and things are working today, DAMNIT.

The worst part about work is that our boss likes to leave the door open as he thinks a shop will lose 50% of its business with the door shut.

There is a worrying link heading around Facebook at the moment.

Facebook say the Age of Privacy is Over

This is ridiculous for so many reasons, I don’t even know where to start.  The truth is, I think he’s got it completely backward.  Compared to a few years ago, I think generally, people are becoming more aware of the need to control their private information and everyone is taking steps to ensure this.  In my regular Facebook browsing, I haven’t come across any profiles that are completely public.  Privacy control should be becoming more strict and customizable, not the other way around.

Ugh procrastination.  I don’t want to go outside.
