Of flats and interviews
I left Putney for another flat in another city yesterday. This one is much more sociable. I’m living with 4 20yo med students who are a whole heap of fun. Last night we went to a local bar and I’ve since spent most of my time this morning worshipping the porcelain god. They’re really sweet people and so much more fun than my other flat. They have dinner time rituals in which one person will cook food for everyone, which is a bit different. Little bit worried about it, as me cooking has never been a good idea.
The other day I had a job interview which I was really excited for. I spent the day dragging Monty round shops and things for suit pants or a skirt. “Give me a job to do” he’d moan. “Black pants, high waist, this size, go” and he’d trot off. I hate shopping. It’s so depressing. Especially when nothing fits because I’m short and out of proportion. Shirts suck. So I got up at 7am, put on my pressed shirt, new pants and shiny new shoes. I spent a helleva lot of time on hair and makeup. I walked outside and it was raining. I then realized that my shiny new shoes were not really all that comfortable. An hour and a half later, I was lost, soaking wet with messed up hair, one heel had broken and my shoes had rubbed my skin up so bad my feet were bleeding.
I don’t know how the interview went. I don’t think I said the right things. One lady really liked me, but I don’t think the other one did. All up, it was a really crap morning.
Yea, I’ve been pretty slack on the photos. I’ll try and take some more this weekend. I haven’t really done the proper touristy things yet. I’ve ended up in famous places like London Bridge and Big Ben and stuff when I’ve gotten lost, but that’s about it.

Hey tiger, I’m sorry your interview day sucked! But at least Monty was cute and helpful. He sounds nice. You’ll find something soon!
