My First University Ball
So a prom dress, free alcohol and a bouncy castle is deffinatly one of those hilarious-at-the-time type situations. I’ve woken up the usual (some unexplained) assortment of bruises and grazes and left thinking this is probably a lesson I should of learnt from the mechanical bull incident.

My flatmates had their end of year medics Uni ball thing so myself and another friend decided to dress up and sneak in with them. It was pretty easy actually, we got asked if we had tickets, said that they were prebooked and they gave us a wrist band. Simon did all the talking, thank goodness, cuz I’m crap in those situations. Everyone looked gorgeous and there was a chocolate fountain. Did I mention the free alcohol?
Some girl came up to me in the bathroom. “I love your lipring!” she said. “Did you have trouble getting into medicine with that?”
“Naw, it was fine, seriously you should get one too!”
“Oh, I was going to, but I was worried about the Hep B thing”
Jeeze. What Hep B thing? Damn medics give me paranoia. They didn’t tell me about that at the piercing place.
I think I was still drunk when I showed up to work this morning. I was all chipper until about 11am when I wanted to make a fort under my desk and go to sleep.

Bouncy Castles are awesome!

June 21st, 2008 at 1:18 amlilley are you on the prowl for a doctor!
June 22nd, 2008 at 7:47 pmyour making a damn good fist of it anyway, haha love the fact your pretending to be one. now trainee doctors all over the uk are now going to surgical steel through there faces!
Oh that’s so silly. If you go to a good shop, you won’t have any real risk of diseases. People who worry about that are either going to shops they shouldn’t trust or they don’t actually know anything about tattooing and piercing. It used to be much more risky, but the sterilization standards are much higher now. Most shops will let you see their sterilization process if you’re not sure about it. … heh. ANYWAY, sounds like you had a great time. Wish I coulda been there.
