It makes me sad panda.
First thing I want to say is: Vista has made me cry. Twice. I would rather stab myself in the eye with a blunt fork than EVER EVER again use this piece of crap operating system on any PC in the future. To make matters worse, Microsoft.com doesn’t even have a complaints page for me to vent my anger in a constructive way. Like telling them whoever came up with this shite idea needs to be shot in the face.
My laptop crashes and freezes. It is one month old. It is higher specc’d than my desktop PC at home. But its much, much slower. Because of VISTA.
To be honest, lappy has been on it’s best behaviour this week since I have been threatening it with talk of finding a way to reinstall XP. I now have that guilt that I get when I talk smack about an inanimate object that could hear me. It’s not you, ShinyLaptop. It’s Microsoft. I love you still.

being the IT geek that i am, i went out and actually bought vista. “i must learn this new OS, to be smart!” i exclaimed.
FUCK THAT SHIT! it is a GIANT piece of DOG POOP! Remember Windows ME? Remember the UTTER FAILURE that it was? Microsoft VOWED never to repeat that mistake…… Well… Guess what? They just did!
Being “In the Loop” again, has afforded me some interesting information. Windows 7 (the next honking PIECE of Dog Poop) is coming… it seems as if they will be dumping vista as ceremoniously as they did ME. With the release impending of Server 2008, i have heard they need a “kickass, non-vista” os to coincide with it, on the workstation/desktop side.
As for SP1 — they can take that GIANT steaming pile of Cat Load, and snarf it…. it took 2 hours to install on my FARKING QUAD CORE MACHINE!
…. only to MAKE IT WORSE….
Naturally — i unhooked the HDD with vista (it came with my Dell), Slid a new HDD in… and installed XP Pro… Will not look back…. NEVER EVER!
Another little Anecdote — Best Bud bought a shiny new XPS laptop…. calls me up…
“hey tone, i got my new laptop. has vista on it…..”
“you poor soul…”
“You get me XP, vista sucks cock”
So i built him a custom XP install disc, all necessary drivers included… and he was up and running with XP in 1 hour…..
So, if you want a COMPLETELY LEGAL version of XP on your Shiny, hit me up on MSN, i’ll do it… jsut need a little bit of info from you…..
