Good morning, Unemployment
Wow, I’ve been a bit slack lately. After a few weeks freaking out, and billion $3per minute phone calls to the British Embassy (made from work, of course) I finally got my Working Holiday British Visa today. Man, that’s a weight off my shoulders.
Also got my letters for a bank account and a national security number for me to sort out when I get there. Wow, its like, all coming together.
I’ve heard from Georgie. “Good news”, she said. “I’ve found us a flat! It has BROADBAND”. Georgie knows what makes me happy. “Er, also, we’re sharing a bed for 2months”.
Right. Well, this will be interesting. Considering I awaken at night, (my brother calls me Vampire for that reason and because I’m whitey white white) and Georgie is a morning person, it’s going to be very interesting indeed.
Oh yea, I turned 23 somewhere in there as well. It was sort of a non-event, I’d completely forgotten about my birthday until my mum mentioned it the day before. I got a new laptop to take overseas and some earmuffs! Yay. A total surprise in the mail, Rob sent me a car sticker of the Ozzy Osbourne logo which I was stoked about. Mum had a go at reading it. “Ezzy?” She said. “Ezzy bourne. Does it say Ezzy bourne?” She also thought the old batman logo was an open mouth the first time she saw it, so there was only minimal banging of my head on the desk. For my birthday, she made me a tower of sweetsweet lemoncakes.
My last day of work was yesterday, also a non-event. Had a small afternoon tea where my dad told the rest of my work crew about the Vampire nickname. I’m gonna miss the crew being all together, but hey. Marcus, Nat and Deane, you best be saving up your pennies to come visit us.
I Dont need to save, ive got money to burn, hence my gym membership..
