The gamer inside me cries

NZ release date (according to Gameplanet) for Rockband has been pushed back to JULY. First it was Jan, then April, now July. I abandoned my original plan of how I could get the game quicker but have since come up with a new one. Which may be a little extreme, but I am impatient person. Plus, I don’t think its fair that the Americans are getting extra peripheral packs for Rockband when the rest of the world doesn’t even have the fucking game yet.

What if I just brought an American Xbox. I’ve been told that most new tvs can handle a NTSC / PAL switch, the only thing I’m worried about is future compatibility issues. Sure, I’d now have to buy American regioned games from now on but that doesn’t bother me. Hello Amazon. You don’t ship to NZ on certain products? Ok that’s cool, I have American friends that will.

I know a guy who knows a guy and he reckons the release date is more likely to be late Feb – early Mar. I think this is false hope to be honest.

Argh I don’t know what to do :(

Ooh, that’d be awesome if you could. I can’t see a problem with this plan apart from if I move outta my parents place I’ll have to get a new fancy TV.

That and I have to buy a new xbox and all my old games won’t run on it.

Maybe I’ll just move to the states? :/

I totally know how you feel… Super Smash Brothers Brawl got pushed back even more months AGAIN! And, of course, is already out in Japan. Who said spoiled Americans get everything first?

And yah, there is a chance I’m a bigger Super Smash fanatic than you are a Guitar Hero fanatic. Would require some kind of crazy gamer throw down to find out for sure though.
