Geeking Out
Wow, so much for me trying to keep this updated. To be honest, not all that much has been happening. Decided to move back to my parents place, mainly because of the puppy and because I want to start saving up some real cash. Get me the hell outta here.
It’s been good actually, I’ve been cranking PS2 games (and about to start on my 360) that I’ve neglected while flatting. Cannot wait for Guitar Hero 3. 11 days. 11 days. Oh oh oh and Rockband! The drums! omgzwtfsgshkjlgh *asplodes*.
Jeez I’m a geek. I spent most of Friday at work coming up with a strategy of how I could get Rockband earlier (our release time is about 3 months after the States!). It was a elaborate plan, involving Amazon, my brothers Canadian girlfriend, family friends in North Carolina and a tears about shipping costs. My plan was blown to bits by the realisation that, although Xbox doesn’t have the same NTSC / PAL game compatibility issues like PS2, the games are still regional. I don’t want to mod my Xbox. Crapper.
In other news, we had a bit of a rager at my parents house on Saturday which saw us ending up at Electric Ave in town. That is a good bar. Go the 80s Air Jordan pump shoes that the bartenders wear. Within about a hour I’d hit my want-to-go-home-RIGHT-NOW stage. So I snuck out and spend a damn fortune on a taxi. I get home about 2.30am.. piss around, jump on my comp, get some food, go out for a smoke, come back in and I get a phonecall from my brother who I thought I’d left in town. “Where are you” I whispered, trying to not wake the parents up. “I’m in the laundry” he whispered back.
“You’re what? The laundry? At home?”
“Yes”
“What the?”
“It’s locked from the inside. I’m with the dog”
And so he was. Cuddled up with my puppy on a makeshift bed of towels. Classic.
